The U.S.Open for tennis is going into its third day of action tomorrow in Forest Hills, New York with the men still scheduled for first round games on Wednesday in the men's singles while the women are into the second round for women's singles. The U.S. Open is scheduled to run 15 days: from August 26, 2013 through September 9, 2013.

American Victoria Duval pulls big upset
In a big upset in women's singles on Tuesday unseeded American Victoria Duval upset 2011 U.S. Open singles champion Samantha Kosur (11), 5-7 6-4 6-4. Number one seeded Serena Williams defeated Francesca Schiavone, 6-0 6-4. Her sister, Venus Williams, defeated Kirsten Flipkins (12), 6-1 6-2. Victoria Zarenka (2) defeated Dinah Zenmaier 6-0 6-0.
Top two seeds, Djokovic and Nadal advance
In men's singles first round play Novak Djokovic (1) defeated Richard Barankis, 6-1 6-2 6-2. Rafael Nadal (2) defeated Ryan Harrison, 6-4 6-2 6-2. Andy Murray (3) is scheduled to play his first round game tonight (Wednesday) at 7 P.M. against Michael Lodra of France. Richard Gasquet (8) defeated American Michael Russell, 6-3 6-4 6-2. Tomas Berdych (5) defeated Pablo Lorenzi, 6-1 6-4 6-1. Roger Federer (7) defeated Grega Zemlja, 6-3 6-2 7-5.
