U.S. Economy added 203,000 jobs in November 2013

The U. S. economy added 203,000 new jobs in November the Bureau of Labor Statistics said on Friday.

This is the second month in a row of better than expected job reports and more of the new jobs were in higher paying fields than in recent months. Among the industries that added to the job numbers in November were :

  • Transportation and warehousing 31,000
  • Health care 28,000
  • Manufacturing 27,000
  • Construction industry 17,000
  • Government 7,000
  • New positions and retail 20,000

Job growth is expected to continue at a sustainable pace into 2014.
