U.S. Drone Kills Another Top al-Qaeda Terrorist

     After eight weeks of holding back on drone attacks Reuters reported today that the United States has successfully killed a militant who was a senior operations organizer for al-Qaeda. (www.panarmenian.net. 1/20/2012

     U.S. officials have confirmed that Aslam Awan, also known as Abdullah Khorsani has been killed by U.S. drones near a compound located close to the town of Miranshah in the province of North Waziristan. The successful attack against this top al Qaeda operative, marks the continued shrinking of the core al-Qaeda terrorists. The utilization of drones by the U.S. remains a critical component of administrations’ war on terrorism.

     Terrorism continues to adapt and reshape newer leadership in Somalia, Yemen, and Nigeria.
