U.S. Civil Rights Commission report implicates DOJ, WH in crimes

On November 19, 2010, the U.S. Civil Rights Commission released its preliminary report on the investigation into racism, the attempt to disenfranchise Caucasian voters, lying under oath, and a coverup implicating both the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the White House.

The investigation stemmed from the decision by the Justice Department under Obama appointee Eric Holder to drop all charges against the 3 members of the New Black Panthers who were caught on video intimidating voters with clubs and billysticks outside polling places during the 2008 Presidential election.

The complete Civil Rights Commission Report can be found here.

In a scathing report detailing corruption at the DOJ and an ensuing coverup by the Obama White House, the Commission report states the following:

"For over a year, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (the Commission) has been trying to determine why the U.S. Justice Department took the unusual action of dismissing voter intimidation claims against defendants who did not contest their own liability, as well as significantly scaling back the injunctive relief sought against the remaining defendant.

"Almost from the beginning of its inquiry, the Commission has been interested in determining what could explain this abrupt change in the trajectory of the lawsuit and what the implications might be for other law enforcement actions. The troubling testimony of misconduct provided by Justice Department whistleblowers thus far deserves careful attention; it may even explain why the Department refuses to provide information that would allow the Commission to complete its inquiry.

"The Department has argued that the change (dropping the charges against the New Black Panthers) was based on a review of the totality of the circumstances and was simply a matter of career people disagreeing with other career people about the adequacy of the evidence under the pertinent law. Evidence obtained by the Commission, however, has called this version of events into serious doubt.

"First, two members of the NBPP trial team, Christopher Coates and J. Christian Adams, have testified before the Commission that the lawsuit was strong and that there was no legally sound reason to reverse course. Second, internal Department documents obtained by the Commission show that an independent review of the facts and legal arguments undertaken by career attorneys in the Appellate Section resulted in a recommendation that the case proceed without change.

"Third, evidence obtained pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by a third party indicates that this matter was not simply a difference of opinion between career attorneys. Instead, the record of communications within the Department appears to indicate that senior political appointees played a significant role in the decision making surrounding the lawsuit.

"The involvement of senior DOJ officials by itself would not be unusual, but the Department’s repeated attempts to obscure the nature of their involvement and other refusals to cooperate raise questions about what the Department is trying to hide. In their appearances before the Commission, which the Department attempted to prevent, trial team members Coates and Adams presented testimony that both raises concerns about the current enforcement policies of the Department and provides a possible explanation for the reversal in the course of the NBPP litigation.

"In sum, they indicated that there is currently a conscious policy within the Department that voting rights laws should not be enforced in a race-neutral fashion. In their testimony, they gave numerous specific examples of open hostility and opposition to pursuing cases in which whites were the perceived victims and minorities the alleged wrongdoers. This testimony includes allegations that some career attorneys refuse to work on such cases; that those who have worked on such cases have been harassed and ostracized; and that some employees, including supervisory attorneys and political appointees, openly oppose race-neutral enforcement of voting rights laws.

"Mr. Coates and Mr. Adams testified that this hostility to race-neutral enforcement influenced the decisionmaking process in the NBPP case. The disposition of the Panther case, Mr.Coates testified, was the result of anger on the part of acting political appointees and other attorneys arising from a 'deep-seated opposition to the equal enforcement of the Voting Rights Act against racial minorities and for the protection of white voters who had been discriminated against.'

"These serious accusations deserve to either be proven or exposed as false. While the Department has issued general statements that it enforces the laws without regard to race, these assurances do not confirm, deny, or explain the specific allegations of misconduct raised by Mr. Coates and Mr. Adams. Unfortunately, the Department has thus far refused to address many of these specific claims or to provide the type of information that would allow the Commission to properly review the decision making relating to the NBPP lawsuit.

"...It was anticipated that the Department would either explain its decision to dismiss most of the charges, or that the inquiry might spur reconsideration of the Department’s actions...What was not anticipated was the extent of the Department’s lack of cooperation." (Pages 1-4, Introduction, U.S. Civil Rights Commission Report).

The 144-page report goes into great detail in delineating a scenario of deep violations of the accepted American premise, 'Equal justice under the law.'  Instead, there is a mindset within the Department of Justice that presumes anti-discrimination laws apply only to those instances where blacks are victimized by whites.  Instances where the reverse is charged, whites victimized by blacks, are not only ignored by the Department but the subject of outright hostility.

The Commission's report goes further to suggest that the Obama White House had invoked 'executive privilege' in withholding information from the Commission--a charge that the White House later denied.

"Believing that the Department had largely failed to cooperate with its information requests, the Commission on December 8, 2009, served a subpoena on the Department propounding interrogatories and document requests. The instructions to the Department stated: 'If any claim of privilege is raised relating to any document or information request, identify with specificity the privilege asserted, any legal authorities relied upon, and indicate whether any privilege so asserted can be addressed by agreements of confidentiality between the parties. If any claim of executive privilege is raised, identify the highest official within the Department
connected with the specific document or information, and indicate whether the President of the United States has specifically exercised said privilege.'" (Page 104 of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission Report).

The DOJ failed to adhere to the Commission's instructions.  Although the White House later denied that executive privilege had been invoked, the DOJ implied to the Commission that the reason for the refusal to provide information was due to exactly that.

The report details a pattern of obfuscation, stonewalling, and lies under oath on the part of the U.S. Department of Justice...in addition to altering official documents from the FBI.

As more of this information is uncovered, it would appear that the DOJ-New Black Panther-White House coverup scandal could well be the 'biggie' that in time will be the undoing of the Obama Administration.

Frankly, I'm surprised that this would be such a big deal.

When the NBPP story broke, and I realized whom my fellow citizens had just elected President, I said to myself, "So what? What do you expect?"

When I was a student at Yale College (class of 1980), I heard an earful: "Race-neutral enforcement? Are you kidding? After what the blacks have endured, they're just getting their own back!" They then hastened to add that I, as a Yale student, oughtn't to have anything to worry about, because I was part of that "cream" that "always rises to the top." Sorry, but that kind of flattery will get a progressive nowhere. I just found out where flattery ends and patronization begins.

And so it is here. If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times: they're just getting their own back, and "racism" is never a word applicable to members of the minority race.

So why do you think that this DOJ scandal is going to get people fired and thrown in jail? Why is this Obama's Watergate?

Oh, no. At best, people will regard this as just of-a-piece with the rest of Obama's personality, policies, and team. At worst, the reaction will be: So what?

People by this time have learned to expect no better of "the first black man ever to be elected President," and one who has vowed that the American people will never be allowed to forget it.

.....ALL in keeping with such cover-ups as documentation and verifiable information on who Barry O. is i.e. Executive Order # 13489. The modus operandi of this administration is well documented. Barry O. will continue to invoked "EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE" if and when need to cover his own arse and those with whom he has deliberately surrounded himself with .....you can be rest assured of that ! If and when things get too bad for Barry O. he still has the capability of using, and is still at his disposal 'EXECUTIVE ORDER" , and "FALSE FLAG" operations ! We can expect these scams to be used as these cases in point draw nearer ! The only transparency this administration provides on a regular basis is Barry and his teleprompter !

People we MUST not let this CRIMINAL act of voter intimdation and racist biased against America's founding stock go unpunished. That includes punishing the low-life thugs of the New Black Panther Party and the racists like Holder and Obama who've tried to aid and abed these racists from escaping prosecution.

For all of the myopic Kool-Aid drinking left handed zombies out there in the Land of "O" I give you this to consider :

Slightly over 96 hours of the North Korea shelling of South Korea's Yeonpyeong Island we have an entire naval battle group running at sea war games with the South Korean Navy ! 96 hours ? 96 Hours ! It would take Navy Brass over 96 hours to consider the game plan, yet alone a game plan after the purported attack of South Korea by the North Koreans, and get their perspective battle groups all lined up ! Seems everything was at the ready prior to the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island ! So now that the Barry O. sitcom has you looking west and considering the possible war between the North and South Koreans, and considering what a great president he is, what a great commander in chief he is , and how he's protecting you and the freedoms of the South Koreans, I guess you won't be paying much attention to the Barry O. ran D.O.J. issues....right ? Right ! Your too easily misled and don't believe in "false flags "! 96 hours ? 96 hours !

What is it with you Walrus? I have progressive friends who have pointed out to me where I've been wrong and I admit when I'm wrong. My friends have valid input. But you dismiss everything conservatives say out of hand. Take this article for instance. The commission's report is there in black and white but you put your blinders on and zip on by to make you child insults. What is it with your "see no evil" stance toward Obama? Even my progressive friends say he's stepping way over the line.

  • walrus 1 year ago

you might be the first conservative willing to listen to counterpoints here at Anthony's...the background on this U.S. Civil Rights Commission report was that it was a very partisan report...the conservatives and the moderates on the commision were at complete odds with one another...the conservatives having a mojority on the panel (Bush filled the panel with conservatives by having these conservatives present themselves as independants so he could get them in)...this "conseravtive heavey" panel is on the way out and it threw this parting shot at the democrats while it still could....get together with your progressive friends and research how Bush "fixed" the panel by having the panelist lie about being conservatives, just to get on the panel....if a liberal president had liberal panelists present themselves as independants (when they had been democrats all their lives), would you still consider it a bi-partisan panel?

now, this has been just for you...we progressives that post here have learned looooong ago, that Anthony and his minions care nothing of truth or fairness, they just want to win every time...THAT is the reason, we progressives don't really take the time (and wasted effort) to try to educate them with facts...they don't care about facts....facts only slow down their agenda.

  • Anthony Martin 1 year ago

Thank you for finally admitting the truth, Wally. You long denied you were a progressive. Now you admit it. You also admit here that conservatives are the ones who actually wish to hold Obama and Holder accountable for breaking the law, just as Democrats held Nixon and Mitchell accountable for breaking the law in Watergate. Glad you recognize that progressives do not wish to adhere to the law and ethics if it involves one of their own. You would probably defend Chairman Mao to the death.

  • walrus 1 year ago

Karla, you see what I mean?
Anthony read what I wrote and his twisted logic turned me into a maoist...I have ZERO in common with mao (shittie little bit-ch that abused the chinese workers) ...as for progressive, Anthony (and his mental retard types) have twisted the meaning of progressive (meaning middle of the road and not conservative or liberal) into an ultra-liberal maoist communist....PROGRESSIVE WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! It means we want to move foward, but with a logical caution...IT DOESN'T MEAN TREE-HUGGER YOU IGNORANT ULTRA-CONSERVATIVES!

    to help you ignorant cons:
    it's ultra-liberals
    then liberals
    then progressives
    then conservatives
    then ultra-conservatives
then tea party crazies (sharron angle, michelle bachmann, etc.)

and wait for it...here will come Anthony's lapdog, Walnuts, to spellcheck all this like some conservative rainman.

    Will Obama/Holder Stop FBI Probe?

    September 29, 2010

During his stint in the Clinton Administration, Holder was directly involved in the Clinton pardons of Weather Underground members Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg.

Left-wing activists showed up outside the FBI headquarters on Tuesday afternoon to protest FBI raids on what they and the media are calling “anti-war” and “peace” groups. But the evidence that some U.S. activists are involved with terrorist groups in the Middle East and Latin America is substantial.

The FBI investigation could uncover links by some of the protesters and the activists under investigation to the President himself.

Obama associates Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn have themselves traveled to Venezuela and the Middle East in recent years to show “solidarity” with anti-American governments and movements.

They recently showed up in Germany on a panel with former members of the Red Army Faction, a violent terrorist group that killed U.S. military personnel and bombed U.S. military bases during the 1970s.

Exposing Barack Obama’s communist connections, reveals that several of the terror suspects whose homes were raided in Chicago worked for a political movement that once included Obama and even sponsored the start of his political career.

The connections of Chicago activists Stephanie Weiner and Joseph Iosbaker, whose residence was searched.

Northwestern University Professor and veteran 60s protestor Bernardine Dohrn supported Obama’s presidency, however, her vocal support may not be something that he wants right now especially after last Tuesday’s “shellacking.” But unfortunately for the President, she just won’t go away.

A video was released last week of Dohrn giving an interview with NewsClick India. In the short two and a half minute segment, she is seen degrading US society, especially the political and social right-wing. She begins by saying US politics is becoming more polarized with a new armed hard right emerging.

As a candidate, Obama sought to distance himself from Dohrn and her husband Bill Ayers by saying that their crimes in the Weather Underground took place when he was a boy and that the couple was not radical anymore. Dohrn assures NewsClick that, “we are radicals today and think that the real terrorist is the American government, state terrorism unleashed against the world.”

Why does obama have three names? Barry Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barrack Hussien Obama- go to http://barrysoetoro.com and explain that.

I have heard the entire conversation between the concerned citizen and the guys with uniform, believed to be the New black panther. I don't see where the intimidation was and carrying weapon, as long registered, and other legal tools any where in the US, except certain premise where stated clearly, is legal.
This is nothing else but a Crocodile tear. If you are accusing Obama applying racism, look the entire officials holding key position and that probably the possible cause blacks to accuse him, not the whites. In addition to that the unemployment rate for blacks is 16% and it is on a rise, which is a big jump from all other previous administrations and 9% for whites and this number is lastly reducing.
So based on this statistics of the labor department could I then conclude the entire white corporations are collaborated to impoverish other races, especially blacks and Latinos? That is also wrong conclusion.
I think the accusation is just one of the bogus claims conservatives try to get their way into the political system as they accustomed - create smear and get what ever they wanted. That was the norm.
You know, when you have a place people throw any kind of trashs, over time it became huge pile of dirt. The smell is just moderate. But if you try to cleanup only the surface, it will stink the entire town.
The problem with Obama is just simply touch the pile of dirt on the surface, not from the bottom of it. That is why so much noise from conservatives and the like.

Walrus I do realize that there are fringe elements on the right and left. I,myself,am libertarian. If you are progressive (middle of the road) then why can't you see that Panthers with sticks and billy clubs glaring at voters would be a threat? There is a video providing proof of this aside from the report by the Commission. Some voters turned away in fear. If it were white hooded men with sticks under the same circumstances I'd say nail 'em.
I keep hearing turn about's fair play but that doesn't get us anywhere near equal justice for all. I have black friends who just want a level playing field, not special rights and not revenge against whites. The Panthers are a menace, spouting hate speech about killing white babies. Hate speech and voter intimidation is wrong no matter who does it. Holders own words suggest he has a bee up his butt about whites and I think his and Obama's attitudes come into play here.

  • Anti-Racist = Anti-White 1 year ago

Because walrus is an anti-racist which means he's anti-white. Ever notice these so-called anti-racist are never around when whites are the victims of crimes or wrong doing. Where are these anti-racist when a group of white New Haven firefighters are denied promotion because of no black scoring high enough on the test? Where are these anti-racist when Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom are brutally tortured, raped, burned, and thrown in trash bags to suffocate by racist black thugs because of the color of their skin? Where are they when a white 15 year old girl is gang raped for 2 hours in Richmond, California by a group of Mestizos while passerbys do nothing? What about the Wichita Massacre? But let someone spray paint a Swastika on a bathroom wall or hang a noose as part of a Halloween decoration, and they all come out of the woodworks. While the Christian/Newsom and Wichita Massacre were NEVER charged as hate crimes two white teenagers placing cotton balls on a black fraternity lawn constitutes a hate crime? While tens of thousands of black on white rapes happen annually and white on black rapes are so rare that it's statistically ZERO according to the Dept Of Justice Interracial Crime Stats why all the outrage of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Hoax by the media? Where was the outrage in 2005 when 37,460 white women were the victims to rape or sexual assault by black males, while there were less than 10 white on black rapes that same year according to Dept Of Justice Interracial Crime Stats. Until these so-called anti-racist start protesting all the hate-filled crimes against whites and racist based laws like Affirmitive Action they're anti-white racist and complete phonies.
