Tonight at the Pickwick Theater, 5 South Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, the Tyrone Power Centennial (1914-2014) gets underway with a special screening of two Power classics--"In Old Chicago," and "Jesse James."
Providing pre-screening entertainment will be the Chicago Silent Film Society's Jay Warren, who will be enlightening guests via the 1928 Mighty Wurlitzer, beginnign at 6:30 pm. The films begin at 7 pm, and admission is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors.
Also in attendance will be Taryn Power-Greendeer (daughter of Tyrone Power) and Michael Butler (Godson of Tyrone Power) to introduce the films.
Limited edition copies of Romina Power’s biography Searching For My Father Tyrone Power will be available for purchase.
