The event takes place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and features a main event of Georges St. Pierre defending his title against Johny Hendricks. Additionally, the pay-per-view also will see Rory MacDonald taking on the resurgent Robbie Lawler, also at welterweight.
Once a challenger for St. Pierre's title himself, Koscheck has been struggling of late, dropping a decision to Hendricks last year, and suffering a knockout loss to Lawler back in February. Before that, he had rebounded nicely, scoring consecutive wins coming off the loss to St. Pierre.
Tyron Woodley, much like Josh Koscheck, is a highly decorated wrestler. However, he too has had mixed results of late. Back in the dying days of Strikeforce, he suffered a brutal knockout loss to Nate Marquardt in his failed attempt at that organization's title. But when he came to the UFC, he was very impressive, finishing Jay Hieron in just 36 seconds. Unfortunately, he failed to capitalize on the momentum coming of that fight, and he dropped a split decision to Jake Shields at UFC 161.
