Tyrese Gibson’s child custody battle just got a lot uglier. According to a Feb 1 story published by Perez Hilton, the actor/singer is being accused of being a bad father by his daughter’s mother, Norma Gibson. According to sources, Norma stated that Tyrese should not have gone to Dubai after Paul Walker was killed in a tragic car accident.

Norma Gibson argued that instead of going overseas, the actor should have stayed home and spent time with his six year old daughter. Norma Gibson argued that Tyrese’s trip was for pleasure, and it indicates that he is not serious about taking care of their child.

[He went] gallivanting throughout Dubai … staying in expensive hotels … partying on yachts, sky-diving with other movie stars, driving expensive cars, and making special appearances in night clubs."

However, Tyrese has claimed a very good reason for taking the long distance trip. According to his response, he had several jobs lined up in Dubai, and he desperately needed the money to continue making his child support payments.

What do you think about the escalating custody battle? Was Tyrese justified in taking the trip? Or, should he have taken the opportunity to spend more time with his daughter?
