Tyra Banks ditching her talk show (video)

December 28, 2009: Tyra Banks has announced that she'll be ending her daytime talk show to focus on her film production company, which means less gabbin' competition for The View shrews come this spring.

Tyra Banks' announcement comes on the heels of Oprah Winfrey's announcement last month that she will be ending the The Oprah Winfrey Show after 25 years in 2011.

Tyra Banks announced: "My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are."

Tyra Banks' most recent The View appearance was in January 2008, but her most notorious The View appearance came in 2007 when Tyra Banks aggressively squeezed Rosie O'Donnell's boob on The View sofa.

The View, which started as a talk show train wreck in 1997, has now become a daytime television juggernaut outlasting the tide of daytime talk shows that ebb and flow through the pilot season dregs each year.
