Tyra Banks announces the end of The Tyra Show. Tyra Banks will end The Tyra Show at the end of this season, according to People magazine. The Tyra Show ran for five seasons, and won two daytime Emmy awards.
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” Banks told People. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
“My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” Banks says.
Tyra Banks has helped to redefine women’s body image and beauty. She plans to become more involved in film producing, but hasn’t made any announcement as to what exactly she will be working on.
The Tyra Show will end spring 2010. America’s Top Model however will continue and its 15th season begins in February. The ‘net buzz on this story is hot because it was just announced this morning, and because Tyra Banks fans want to keep up with what she is doing.
