Normally I use Examiner.com to publish boxing articles. Manny Pacquiao has a big fight coming up Vs. Brandon Rios, but with the recent destruction of Leyte Province, Tacloban City, boxing doesn't seem so important these days. I have reached out to some of my boxing contacts in order to raise some money to help out the victims. One great place to donate some money for the fine folks of Tacloban City is HERE
I'm pretty sure that the 8 division world champ Manny Pacquiao if he hasn't already, will shortly do what he can to help out. Pacquiao has a long history of giving back to his people, and this situation will be no different. In the coming days, I'll be reaching out to various boxing people, fighters, promoters, managers, and fans in an effort to raise additional funds for this cause.
What makes me sick to my stomach is how world governments, including my country, America, blows money on ridiculous useless projects, and at the same time ignores where the money should be going. If we are going to give money to Egypt, and Pakistan that will ultimately buy weapons that can and will be used against us in the future, we surely should have sent money to the Philippines to build sea walls. I guess that makes too much sense.
Thousands of people lost their lives in the Philippines and many more could die if they don't get the food, water, and medicine that they need soon. Please do what you can to help these folks out, if anything, do it for the children. When I see the kids crying, it breaks my damn heart.
