Leader of southern Californian rap-collective Odd Future, Tyler the Creator release new video for Tamale, off of his 3rd studio album, WOLF. Tyler never fails to deliver on creativity whether it's his roach-eating "Yonkers" clip or his playhouse-inspired "IFHY," Tyler puts the most into the visuals he creates under his Wolf Haley alias. Throughout Tamale you can see the passion Tyler has for his music, and the message he's portraying. As colorful and playful this video may be, time and opinions alone, never can give this guy enough credit, for which he is greatly owed for giving us the gift of laughter, and nausea. Just 22 years old, Tyler delivers a headful of emotions and satirical drama, almost good enough to show your parents.
In a purposely blurred scene he states, "DUE TO THE GRAPHIC NATURE OF THIS FILM I WAS FORCED TO BLUR BECAUSE PEOPLE AREN'T READY TO HAVE INTELLIGENT CONVERSATIONS BEFORE THEY JUDGE. WELCOME TO AMERICA," he pokes fun at his generation's lack of tolerating creative people, such as himself and his counterparts. In contrast, the opposite scene (shown below) chooses to use a beach beauty's backside as a trampoline, displaying the fact at how well ignorance is accepted.
In another scene Tyler, joins members of Trashtalk, reinacting P.Diddy's Mo' Money Mo' Problems' video golf scene. Dressed in the brightest yellow from his own clothing collection, GOLF WANG, it famously pays homage to his after-hours show on Adult Swim, respectively called, Loiter Squad.
Again, attacking most his critics' opinions and misconceptions about him, from being homophobic to a devil worshipper, he simulates an orgasm while reading a book titled "Homophobic Beans Misogyny Bad 666 Gimmick."
Even if you're not a fan of Tyler's music, you must appreciate the effort he puts into creating a masterpiece in his own respect, and never have to expect him to fall into whatever the current trends in hip hop are.
