Tyler Perry Studios fire caused no damage

See also

In a statement released today by Tyler Perry himself he is very happy to report that a fire that started on a backlot at his studios has caused minimal damage. Nobody was hurt and a majority of the damage is limited to the backlot facade. Perry expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Atlanta fire department for responding so promptly to the call.

The bigger surprise here is that many were unaware that Tyler Perry had an entire studio in Atlanta. And not just a little soundstage in the middle of nowhere either. The backlot boasts five sound stages, a five acre pond, a theater, a chapel, a gym and much more. Also, let's not forget t his private plane that was used to fly Whitney Houston's body from Los Angeles to New Jersey for her funeral. Seems like Tyler Perry has made quite a name for himself in the movie industry!
