Affton, Mo. - On Wednesday, Shelby Dasher, the mother of one-year-old Tyler Dasher was charged with his murder.
According to prosecutors, she confessed to police that she beat Tyler because he was crying and “wouldn't lay down, wouldn't go back to sleep.” She also admitted disposing of the little boy's body.
Dasher initially reported Tyler missing on the morning of Nov. 15, telling authorities she put him to bed the night before at about 10:30 p.m. She claims she woke up late and discovered the boy gone at around 11:00 a.m.
Two people walking their dogs on the edge of the New St. Marcus Cemetery near the River Des Peres, found Tyler's body on that same day at about 3:30 p.m.
Family and friends of Tyler will hold a vigil and moment of silence for the infant at the River Des Peres Greenway at Olde English Road and River Des Peres in Affton, Mo. on Wednesday Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
