TYGA burning bright at the beach on 'Careless World Tour'

The House of Blues is the place to be this weekend as TYGA hits the beach with his "Careless World Tour."  Promoting his just-released album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, the 22-year-old rapper is hoping to push the new set of tracks into the top position on the Billboard chart with a little help from fans in North Myrtle Beach.

And he just might do it.

TYGA's single, "Rack City," burnt up the charts, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, No. 6 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, and No. 7 on the Hot 100 singles chart.  Two songs released prior to "Rack City" featuring hip hop star Drake ("Still Got It") and "American Idol" finalist Chris Richardson ("Far Away") charted as well.  The fourth song from Careless World, "Faded," which features Lil Wayne, recently peaked at No. 52 on the Hot 100.

And it will be the collaborative effort TYGA (which is an acronym for Thank You God Always) did with Lil Wayne and a host of other then rising hip hoppers and rappers that he will be trying to better.  That effort, the album We Are Young Money, peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2009 and eventually was certified gold.  Although Lil Wayne was the driving force of the album, the collective included Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Birdman, and Lloyd.

He was also featured on the Chris Brown single "Deuces," which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart and No. 14 on the Hot 100.  The song was originally part of a Chris Brown/TYGA mixtape called "Fan of a Fan." Released in 2010, "Deuces was nominated for a 2011 Grammy.

TYGA is currently on tour with Y.G. (Young Gangsta), a California rapper who has had a couple of songs hit the Hot 100 as well, the latest being with rap legend Snoop Dogg.  The song, "Snitches Ain't" features Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, and TYGA.  Y. G. is also currently recording his first studio album for Def Jam Records, tentatively titled Freshman on Campus.

Doors open for TYGA's "Careless World Tour" at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, Feb. 26.  The concert begins at 8:30 p.m.  General admission tickets are $23 ($25 on day of show).  Reserved tickets range from $43.50 to 58.50.  The House of Blues is located at 4640 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach.
