Tycoon Flats to host April 14 Spring Music Fest

SAN ANTONIO – The legendary Tycoon Flats on St. Mary’s, well-known for burgers and beer, is hosting a 2013 Music Fest featuring five popular, local bands on Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. to welcome spring and showcase its music and great food.

The featured bands for the 2013 Music Fest include The L&Ms, The TX Thorns, Three Way Split, Rock n Soul and Harry Wurzbach & the 410s.

“We want to remind everyone that Tycoon Flats is a great music venue close to downtown, and it’s rare to hear quality music without a cover charge," said owner Richard Hartmen. We thought our 2013 Music Fest would be a great way to kick-off spring and jump-start this year’s Fiesta fun. This event will become an annual happening, and we intend to build it to be bigger and better every year.”

Tycoon Flats is a San Antonio burger favorite with its one-of-a-kind burgers (Piggy Piggy, Signature and Mexican) as well as a wide array of beers – over 50 in bottles and 14 on draft including domestics, imports and fashionable local craft beers.

Hartman added that the ever-popular band, Harry Wurzbach & the 410s, will be returning for a rare appearance since the group disbanded March 2011 at a final performance at Tycoon Flats. He adds that the four other bands performing at Music Fest, interestingly enough, include a talented founding member from the original Harry Wurzbach band.
