In 1997, Tyco manufactured one-sixth scale miniature food items and marketed them under the name Kitchen Littles. Stores such as Toys R Us and the now-defunct Kay Bee sold the small size mini food sets, larger sized appliances and other doll sized items. After a couple of years, the Kitchen Littles toy line was discontinued and eventually replaced with something else of inferior quality.
Fifteen years later on the secondary market, prices have doubled or tripled on the Tyco Kitchen Littles Deluxe Stove, Refrigerator and Deluxe Kitchen Center mint in box. Some of the mid-sized Kitchen Littles food accessory sets, such as Deluxe Breakfast and Barbecue Feast, have doubled in value as well. The metal pots and pans and authentic labels on the food items confirm the collectibility of this play food toy line for years to come.
