Two22 Brew, a new brewery in Centennial, Colorado, will hold its grand opening this Saturday, February 22nd (2/22!). The event will feature six beers on tap, food trucks, and live music from 7-9pm. The grand opening festivities will continue Sunday, too.
Two22 was founded by married couple Paige Schuster and Marcus Christianson, two former teachers who, feeling unfulfilled in their occupation, decided to make a more significant, positive impact on society via a hybrid brewery/charitable organization; for every $10 in profit, Two22 will donate $2.22 to the Schuster Family Foundation, an organization that grants funds to various charities that range in interest from education to environmental issues to youth and personal enrichment programs. Two22 is beer with a conscience.
On opening day, Two22 will feature a blonde ale, a session IPA, a Simcoe IPA, a milk stout, Centennial chocolate porter, and Red Cinnamon. In the next several weeks they will also be adding a wheat beer to the line-up. From there, Two22 will use customer feedback to guide their taplist, narrowing the seven beers on opening day to four year-round flagships. The remaining three taps will be reserved for rotating seasonals. The tap lines at Two22 are set up for 10 beers so, in the future, the brewers will be adding even more offerings including experiments in different yeast strains.
