Terrell, Texas- A Rockwall woman and a Seagoville woman were arrested and charged with burglary and theft of copper on January 28, 2012.
Kaufman County deputies were dispatched to a 911 call about two people stealing property from a house in the 17000 block of County Road 245 sometime around 8 a.m. The 911 caller said that he tried to stop the suspects but they got away in a vehicle. He gave deputies a description of the suspect vehicle.
A few hours later, the deputies noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car, backed up to a vacant house in the 7000 block of FM 598. They contacted the suspects and conducted a search of their vehicle. According to Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Pat Laney, “During a search of the vehicle deputies found a washing machine, miscellaneous copper wire tubing, a gas heater and other metal objects; some of the property stolen from the residence on County Road 245.
Arrested and charged with burglary of a building and theft of copper were Krystal Marie Milton, 29, of Rockwall and Anita Perez Ortiz, 34, of Seagoville. They were transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center and each are being held on a $30,000 bond.
