After a day out on a fishing trip, a couple from Arkansas had a very unexpected surprise: they were in possession of two winning lottery tickets.
The first winning ticket, which was the $1 million winner, was bought when Stephen and Terri Weaver made a stop at the T-Ricks convenience store in Pangburn during their fishing trip. According to a report from ABC on Feb. 5, the fortunate couple later stopped at the same store on their way back home and bought the second ticket which netted them an additional $50,000.
Stephen Weaver purchased the first winning ticket, which was a $1 Million Riches scratch-off ticket. In an incredible stroke of luck, on their way home from the fishing trip Terri Weaver bought the second winning ticket, a Taxes Paid scratch-off ticket, and won $50,000.
The couple claimed their prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s claim center in Little Rock on Monday. They said they plan on using the money to pay bills and invest in their retirement.
