Per the Marietta Police Department, Brandon Betancourt, 16, and Josue Chapa, 14, allegedly stabbed 18-year-old Marquise Carruthers this Saturday at the Cobb County Transit bus station's South Marietta Parkway location. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m, according to police.
Police officers found the body of Marquise lying in the grass close to the bus station's parking lot with a single stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to Marietta's Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but died shortly after.
An investigation into the stabbing was launched, and after authorities pieced the details together, they determined that two teenagers were in an altercation with Marquise earlier that morning at another location. However, investigators believe that the dispute continued until the teens arrived at the CCT parking lot.
