Two senior Chihuahua friends urgently need home or rescue

Max and Cricket are an adorable pair of senior chihuahuas whose older owner just passed away, leaving them homeless. Their owner's daughter is not allowed to have pets where she lives, so her family cannot take in these dogs. The family has been given only two weeks to empty their mother's house and find a home for her beloved dogs.

Max is a tiny male chihuahua, only 5-6 lbs in size and approximately 8 years old. He is black and white with short hair. Max is cuddly and sweet, but needs a home without young children. He has been neutered and has no known health issues.

Cricket is a larger female chihuahua who is mostly white with tan markings on her face, approximately 7 years old. She has not been spayed yet, but will be before adoption. Cricket is overweight, so she needs a home that will take her for regular walks, feed her measured portions of food, and avoid table scraps.

Max and Cricket have been living with a 56 year old single lady, but they are friendly with strangers and comfortable around men as well. They are fully housetrained to potty pads due to the hours they had to spend alone while their former owner was at work. Both dogs walk nicely on a leash and are used to being walked daily. They have lived together for six years now so they depend on each other and need to stay together.

These adorable little dogs are located in Nolensville, TN, just 30 minutes south of Nashville. Their time is rapidly running out and their family really does not want to take them to a kill shelter, but may not have a choice if no one steps forward to help. If you are interested in fostering or adopting these sweet, cuddly little dogs, please call Stacy Gibson at (731) 437-0076. If you cannot help them, please pass their story on to anyone who may be able to.
