Two more young women on Saturday joined the growing list of contestants who have qualified for the Miss Florida 2012 crown.
Amanda Harris was crowned Miss Orlando 2012 and Sara York was crowned Miss Orange County 2012 in ceremonies at Trinity Prep School in Winter Park.
York wrote on her Twitter account that she "can't wait for the year ahead" and the crowning represents "the opportunity of a lifetime."
Harris wrote that she is "feeling incredibly honored to be crowned Miss Orlando 2012" and that she "is still in disbelief."
Neither is a stranger to the Miss Florida pageant. Harris is a former Miss Clay County, while York is a former Miss University of Central Florida and former Miss City Beautiful.
The winning contestant at the Miss Florida pageant later this year will represent the state at the Miss America 2013 pageant next January in Las Vegas.
Two women crowned Miss Florida have gone on to win the Miss America pageant. They are Miss America 1992 Leanza Cornett and Miss America 2004 Ericka Dunlap.
