The week of Sunday, May 18 is another week where the retail game deals are shallow enough to combine them all into a single article. Still, there’s a somewhat solid combo offer from Toys R Us on PS4 and Xbox One titles while Best Buy offers a $10 to $20 discount on games for the same systems plus the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Amazon continues to rehash the same deals from week to week with “Thief,” “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII,” “South Park: The Stick of Truth” and “Halo 4: Game of the Year Edition” all making returns at $39.99 or $29.99 in the case of “Halo 4.” There’s a pair of Turtle Beach Headphones that are new and that’s it.

At Best Buy, you can find “Thief” (all consoles) and “NBA 2K14” (PS3 and Xbox 360 only) available for $39.99 while “Need for Speed: Rivals” for the PS4 and Xbox One gets a $10 discount to $49.99. On the Xbox One exclusives side of the ledger, “Zoo Tycoon” is discounted all the way to $24.99 and “Dead Rising 3,” “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Ryse: Son of Rome” plus “Kinect Sports Rivals” are all $44.99. Meanwhile, “Titanfall” for the Xbox one and Xbox 360 is $49.99.

You can also get 24-months of Xbox LIVE Gold membership for the price for the price of 12 months with the purchase of an Xbox One console. There’s also a free copy of “Mists of Pandaria” with the purchase of “World of Warcraft.”

Toys R Us has potentially the most interesting offer of the week with two PS4 or Xbox 360 games for $35. However, the deal is hamstrung by a very thin selection of games to choose from. Multi-platform titles in the offer include “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” “FIFA 14,” and “Angry Birds: Star Wars.” Meanwhile, the “Killzone: Shadow Fall” and “Knack” are the only PS4 exclusives included. The Xbox One gets “Dead Rising 3,” “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Ryse: Son of Rome,” “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare” and “Titanfall.”

“Skylanders” fans do get a treat though as “Skylanders SWAP Force” and “Skylanders Giants” Starter Kits have all been discounted more than half off to $32.49. All character figures and accessories are also buy one, get one half off.

Target didn’t even advertise any game deals this week but it does have a handful of unadvertised offerings. This includes “Call of Duty: Ghosts” for the Xbox One at $32.99 an “Just Dance 2014” for the Wii at $19.99. There’s also “The Last of Us” for the PS3, “South Park: The Stick of Truth” and “Kinect Sports Rivals” for the Xbox One all at $39.99 each.

Free shipping is offered at all the retailers above. Sales tax may be applicable though.
