Prince Harry of Wales and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho have together set up a new polo match in Barbados, to raise funds for Sentebale, a charity the two princes set up to help vulnerable orphans in Lesotho. The charity helps children affected by poverty, HIV and AIDS and so far has provided assistance to some 3,000 youngsters.
The first Sentebale Polo Cup will take place on the island of Barbados on January 31, 2010. The sponsor of the event is the Barbados Tourism Authority, which is reportedly very happy to have the event on bord, and it will be hosted by Sir Charles Williams at Apes Hill Polo Club.
The charity's main operations are in Lesotho, but both Princes take an active role as Patrons. Just before Christmas a video in which Prince Harry talked about what Sentebale meant to him was released. Prince Harry first became aware of the issues when he took his gap year and worked for two years in Lesotho.
"Sentebale" means "forget-me-not" and refers to the forgotten children of Lesotho.
Lesotho, home of Prince Harry's and Prince Seeiso's charity Sentebale, is completely surrounded by South Africa
