FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fremont, CA--Monday, November 14, 2011--Galvanized by the signing of AB 144 into law, two powerhouse, Right-to-Carry organizations, Responsible Citizens of California (RCC) and South Bay Open Carry (SBOC) are merging under the RCC banner to more effectively represent the growing State-wide popularity of both the Open Carry Movement and 2nd Amendment activism at large.
Identifying a common goal of restoring the 2nd Amendment in California and seeing a complementary match in organizational skillsets for both groups, RCC and SBOC will take advantage of the economies of scale afforded by this merger to uphold and defend every law-abiding Californian's basic, fundamental, and enumerated civil right to self-defense to much greater effect.
Recent bills passed by the California State Legislature and signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown clearly illustrate an attack on the Second Amendment in the Golden State. Instead of passively accepting these infringements upon the civil rights of model citizens to be able to protect themselves from violent criminals, an ever-growing number of law-abiding Californians who wish to exercise their basic and fundamental civil right to self-defense have responded with a hardened resolve to protect themselves from any further erosion of those enumerated civil rights.
As before, Responsible Citizens of California will continue to work with any and all organizations that share our common goal of protecting and restoring the Second Amendment in the Golden State.
