Two perfect games and an 11-in-a-row performance in a single league session at AMF Bradenton Lanes highlight this weekend's report on high scores at bowling leagues at Sarasota-Manatee-Charlotte County centers.

Competing in the Jeffcoat Blueprinting League, Dylan Clark and Dane Sheak both pounded out 300 games, while Justin Henderson posted a 296 game during a recent session.

Clark, carrying a 222 average, opened his series with a perfect game, then followed with scores of 177 and 198 to round out a 675 set.

Sheak's 300 completed a 660 series after earlier games of 175 and 185 for the 191-average bowler, while Henderson -- carrying a 180 average -- had 11 consecutive strikes en route to a 296 game in the middle of a 664 series.

Two bowlers, Dave Grether and Ed Burlison, fell one pin short of perfection with games of 299. Grether's came at the end of a 781 series in the La Malinche Restaurant League at Sarasota Lanes, where he carries a 210 average, while Burlison -- averaging 220 in the Kays-Ponger-Uselton Men's League at Treasure Lanes in Port Charlotte -- opened with his big game before finishing with a 702 series.

Jeff Pennell posted a 168-over-average 753 series that included a 289 game in the Kays-Ponger-Uselton Men's League at Treasure Lanes, and Vincent Ellis had a 158-over 683 series on games of 227, 256 and 200 in the JDB International Mixed League at AMF Gulf Gate Lanes. In addition, Mae Sweet had a 143-over 620 series topped by a 227 game in the C&L Awards Mixed League at Sarasota Lanes.
