Two Pennsylvania witnesses report same bright object

Two Pennsylvania witnesses in separate reports describe a bright round, white light moving slowly across the sky, according to June 30, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

A Pennsylvania couple reports an object moving from the northwest to the southeast that was visible in the sky for about five minutes in MUFON Case # 29790.

"There were no blinking marker lights that you would see on airplanes since we live close to the airport and see air traffic over our house very often," the reporting witness stated. "It appeared to be flying higher than the normal air traffic that was taking off from the airport but lower than another airplane that was higher up in the sky with red blinking marker lights flying in the northwest direction. The sky was very clear tonight with no clouds."

In a second case report, another Pennsylvania witness reports watching a "huge bright star low and slow moving" at 10:15 p.m. in MUFON Case # 29797.

"It was very big and bright, very low," the witness stated. "I watched it going southeast, and in about another minute, it dimmed, then disappeared into nowhere."

Both reports were filed on June 30, 2011. Both events occurred about the same time of day on June 29, 2011. No town names were mentioned in the public portion of either report. No images or videos were included with either report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

Pennsylvania is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating,
with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Pennsylvania had 11 reports in May 2011 - while California had 55 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. Pennsylvania remains on our Watch List.
