Two teenage sisters, aged 15 and 16, were arrested after their mother and father called the local police on them in Glastonbury, Connecticut, according to a Yahoo! News report published on Tuesday.
The parents in the house were away on a trip and returned a day early. To their surprise, there were teens all over the house having an inappropriate party with underage drinking and the like. Besides reportedly yelling at their daughters who were caught in the act of partying, they were arrested and charged with permitting minors to possess alcoholic beverages.
In the same town, a similar situation occurred, but the parents were home at the time of the under-aged drinking party. In that incident, parents Christopher and Shawn Nixon were arrested after a party was held at their house with more than 100 teenagers. When neighbors called police to complain about the gathering, police found underage drinking going on. Additionally, they could smell marijuana present at the party. Though the parents – the Nixons – were not responsible for giving the teenagers the alcohol or the drugs, police stated that they had basically chosen to ignore the illegal activities going on in their home.
