A woman was shot to death early Saturday morning at a restaurant in Fulton County – and police are searching for two suspects in connection with her murder.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Ms. Tequilla Laye.

It’s unclear why the 31-year-old Atlanta woman was shot and police have few details on the suspects. But they said the incident happened shortly after 3:40 a.m. in the parking lot of El Nopal Mexican Restaurant.

Moments after the shooting, two unidentified men fled the location at 5350 Old National Hwy., according to Fulton County police.

They left the scene in a silver or gray Pontiac Grand Am with a broken front passenger door window, police spokeswoman Det. Melissa Parker said.

One has dreadlocks. The other has an afro, she said.

When officers got to El Nopal, they found the woman in the parking lot, Det. Parker said. Police have not released any other details about the shooting.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Det. R. Peace at (404) 613-9181.
