GT Spirit announced earlier today (March 14, 2013) that the identity of two of the three owners of the Lamborghini Veneno are U.S. Citizens. For arguably one of the most exclusive cars to come out of the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Veneno takes the cake. Only four are to be built and 3 to be sold to the public. One is finding a home in the Middle East and 2 are headed to the East Coast in the United States ( one in Long Island, New York and the other in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The two new owners, Antoine Dominic, former Ferrari customer and current owner of Lamborghini Long Island, and Kris Singh, Managing Director of Tequesta Investments from Florida, were both present at the official unveiling at the 2013 Geneva Motor show with Lamborghini pins attached to there jackets and big smiles across there faces.
At a price tag of $4 Million and change, this is one of the most expensive Lamborghini’s ever built. It’s also one of the most powerful.
Powering the Veneno is a 12-cylinder engine and a 7-speed transmission with five different driving modes. Lamborghini says the Veneno can reach speeds of 220 miles per hour and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. The body is carbon-fiber to keep the car as light as possible and allow for that quick acceleration. The shape is angular and muscular, and the car nearly sits low to the ground.
Both owners said that they won’t keep these raging hypercar bulls locked up under wraps and will at least drive them from time to time.
Many people were amazed to find out that only three would be sold and the chances of ever seeing one in the flesh were close to nil But now with two of the three Veneno’s on U.S. Shores, you just might have a good chance of actually seeing one.
