A 10-month drug investigation in Jennings County was wrapped up Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, with two last arrests, according to White River News.
Terry Knight, 57, and Debbie Knight, 48, both of North Vernon, were arrested after numerous reports were made to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department of possible drug activity at an apartment house located in the 200 block of Fourth Street in North Vernon.
These two arrests conclude a 10-month investigation that began in January 2013, focusing on the illegal sales of morphine and other prescription medications in Jennings County, Maj. Jerry Shepherd told White River News.
Police were able to use confidential informants to make numerous purchases of morphine and other prescription drugs from this location, specifically from the Knights.
Debbie is facing one charge of dealing in a controlled substance with her bond set at $40,500. Terry is facing three counts of dealing in a controlled substance with bond set at $80,055. Both are currently being held in the Jennings County Jail. Shepherd informed White River News that additional arrests are expected.
