Two NH schools recognized as the 2011 Schools of Excellence

At surprise school-wide assemblies on Friday, April 22nd, two New Hampshire schools were recognized as this year's Schools of Excellence.

The Excellence in Education Initiative recognizes New Hampshire public schools that meet high standards of excellence and can serve as representatives of the many excellent schools throughout the state. The Middle School of Excellence is Iber Holmes Gove Middle School in Raymond and the High School of Excellence is Alvirne High School in Hudson.

On Saturday, June 4, all of New Hampshire’s Schools of Excellence and School of Excellence finalists will be honored at the eighteenth annual “ED”ies award celebration. This gala event is a collaborative effort of most of the major state-wide education associations. It is the purpose of the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Program (“ED"ies) to recognize New Hampshire schools and individuals who meet high standards of excellence.
