Earlier today, manga and anime publisher Viz Media announced that it would be releasing two new shojo manga later this year, “Honey Blood” and “Kiss of the Rose Princess”, through its Shojo Beat imprint.

In October 2014, readers can look for the first volume of “Honey Blood”, a three volume series created by Miko Mitsuki. “Honey Blood” follows high school student Hinata Sorazono, who refuses to believe in the existence of vampires, after a girl from her school is believed to have been attacked by one. Hinata begins to wonder if they really could exist however, when she meets her new neighbor, Junya Tokinaga, the author of a popular vampire romance novel, who may really be a vampire and the culprit of the attack.

Debuting in November 2014 will be “Kiss of the Rose Princess”, a nine volume series from Aya Shouoto. “Kiss of the Rose Princess” tells the story of Anis Yamamoto, a young woman who is told that if she ever removes the rose choker given to her by her father, she will fall victim to a terrible punishment. Anis loses that choker one day, when a bat-like being falls from the sky and hits her. Anis is then given four cards that represent four knights that she can summon with a kiss, but for what reason does she have these handsome men coming to her aid, and what could her mission be.

Both series are rated for teens and volumes will retail for $9.99. Viz Media and its Shojo Beat imprint will also release each series in both print and digital versions.
