We’re at the beginning of middle September. With the fall season almost creeping upon us, it’s that time of the year to start applying for some seasonal jobs. But the two new jobs being profiled this week are not exactly seasonal. They are two medical director positions that are fit for any season.

The person for this job will be responsible for interfacing with various therapeutic area units to design, develop and initiate pharmacogenomics (PGx) programs globally. They will also be providing guidance to TA program leaders on the incorporation of Pharmacogenomics activities into various clinical programs. You must have at least 7 years of pharmaceutical research experience, management experience in a matrix environment and a willingness to travel. The next position of the week also comes from Takeda Pharmaceuticals and it is an opening for an Executive Medical Director position. The person for the job will provide strategic planning, scientific and medical support. He is also responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the medical and scientific communication platform, research strategies including post-approval investigator initiated research, phase 4 and contracted research. You must have 10 plus years of experience in industry and/or academic research experience. Having an MD degree with current or recent board certification in psychiatry and experience in clinical research are also required.
