Although one of the shots is basically an inverted shot of the original screen of current WWE World Heavyweight Champion and "WWE 2K15" cover athlete John Cena released earlier this week, the other shot is of former WWE and Intercontinental Champion and "WWE '12" Randy “The Viper” Orton, in full taunt. Showing off the next generation graphics on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the character models look markedly better than the visuals from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of “WWE 2K14.”
If anything, it’s fair to say they resemble the character models in “NBA 2K14” more than anything ever seen in a wrestling game previously.
Earlier this week, IGN also wrote in an article that 50 days of motion capture sessions took place for “WWE 2K15” and that it will have five times more animation data than last year’s game. Significant efforts have been made in the presentation department as well, with four times as many lines of commentary recorded than in “WWE 2K14.”
In terms of story mode additions, the game’s story mode, will be called “2K Showcase” and will be broken into two episodes and will focus on two different rivalries in WWE history. 2K Sports has yet to reveal who will be featured in these new modes. “WWE 2K15” will also have a separate story mode for create-a-wrestlers, “My Career,” which IGN says was lifted from the “NBA 2K” series. This mode will only be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
