Two Manchester women arrested on drug charges

Manchester Police arrested two local women Monday evening on drug charges following a motor vehicle stop, according to a Tuesday press release by the Manchester Police Department.

The driver, Karun Thapa, 28 is charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug (Heroin), and Cathryn Fosher, 24 is charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug (Suboxone, which is a heroin substitute for recovering opiate abusers) and also was arrested on an extraditable warrant for a prior theft in the State of Missouri. She was additionally charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.

Police said Detectives Aaron Brown and Mark Harrington of the Street Crime Unit, conducted a motor vehicle stop at approximately 6:45 p.m. Monday in the area of Granite Street and Queen City Avenue.

Upon stopping the motor vehicle, detectives immediately observed both subjects making furtive movements. The investigation that followed revealed both parties were in possession of illegal substances.
