Terrence Magee and Rashard Robinson have been named SEC Players of the Week (Nov. 25) after spectacular performances in the LSU vs. Texas A&M game last weekend in which the Tigers upset the Aggies 34-10.
Magee scored a touchdown and ran for 149 yards in the game against the Aggies, enough to count as a new career high. Magee is only 5'9, weighing 214 lbs. and may look small on your television screen but he has a way of getting through those tight spaces when needed. His performance against Texas A & M earned him the SEC Offensive Player of the Week title.
Magee, is a junior from Franklinton, LA that has stepped up his game this year and making a name for himself as a running back. Magee can also play the wide receiver position and played quarterback during his high school days.
Rashard Robinson captured the SEC Freshman of the Week honors by stopping Aggies' Mike Evans from running the ball. Robinson was one of the Tigers who held Evans to only 51 yards and four catches during the entire game. Robinson also made his first interception as a Tiger in the LSU-Aggie game and had two tackles.
Robinson is a defensive back for the Tigers and is 6'1", 163 lbs. He is from Pompano Beach, Fl. Robinson played for Ely High School and emerged as one of the top collegiate prospects.
The Tigers will close out regular season play with the traditional game on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 against Arkansas. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. CST.
