Cameron, Texas: These two 8 week puppies were left to die during the holidays. Luckily, they wound up in the yard of a good Samaritan, but haven't got long.
The American Pit Bull Examiner asked Candace and her family to shelter the two until qualified rescue steps up.
"Yes, we can do that - we just can't keep them forever because our fence and yard aren't big enough for the size dogs they will become, plus we work long hours. They need attention and training we aren't equipped to give them. But we can love them and keep them healthy until home(s) are found for them. I am taking them to our vet this week to get a better bead on how old they are and see what shots they can have at this point."
Candace is a good hearted animal lover, but like most of the kind people, already over quota with companion pets. She has offered to shelter these two for a short while in hopes that a good rescue group might offer to take the two under their wing.
We think these two are cattle dog, pittie and perhaps some Bernese Mountain dog in the mix. They are located between Waco and Cameron, Texas near Austin.
They are precious dogs, but a responsible rescue group will need to step up so that these two can be fixed and adopted to proper homes.
Good Samaritans like Candace are stepping up to the plate to do the work our donations have not accomplished.
With all of the big groups taking in huge donations which go toward salaries and high profile lifestyles, dogs like these two puppies are left to depend on local citizens to help them.
