On Friday, police in Clinton, CT, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Patrico William Matute, 36, and Carlos Celi, 29, after a four-month investigation. The two men allegedly provided a young woman with alcohol and then raped her.
Matute is charged with aggravated sexual assault in the first degree; unlawful restraint in the first degree; and liquor sale to a minor. Celi is charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree; unlawful restraint in the first degree; and providing liquor to a minor.
According to police, Matute actually raped the 19-year-old victim, while Celi restrained her.
ICE has confirmed that both men are in the country illegally from Ecuador, and have placed detainers on the suspects.
Both Matute and Celi are scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Monday.

I happen to know this man. I know the facts in this case. I would be very careful to judge before you too know the facts. I am as American as they come, I come from a long line of true Yanks. William did not do this. This is not news, this is a tragedy. I know of alot of "Americans" with much less heart and work ethic than this young man and who do not deserve to live here as he does. Possibly some of you whose comments I have read. Shame on you...

These perps should get the chair for this act, but will instead likely get off with a reduced sentence. CT has about the most liberal laws and courts in the nation.
