The first hike this weekend is at Highbanks, Saturday, February 11 at 10 am. There are two hikes to choose from-- 2.5 miles or 5 miles. Meet at the Nature Center-- the first driveway off of the main entrance. There is an adjacent parking lot.
Then go to Glacier Ridge, Sunday, February 12 at 2 pm for a 2-mile hike. This hike will start at the Bulletin Board at the Picnic Shelter. The address is 9801 Hyland Croy Rd., Plain City, Ohio 43064. Because of the strong winds, the Metro Parks Web site suggests dressing very warmly for this hike. The temperature on the trail is as much as 15 degrees cooler than it is outside your house.
The weather is predicted to be in the teens with wind chill in the single digits. Make sure to dress appropriately for these two outdoor events.
