It’s time for spring and for the flowers to start blooming, the leaves on the trees to begin to bud and to listen to the sound of the birds chirping. Such a vibrant time of year, with lots of activities in the yard makes us think of spring crafts and beautiful cross stitch patterns.
To celebrate the start of spring DMC threads has posted two beautiful free stitch designs that you can create using cotton floss or DMC Color Variations floss. These projects are a quick way to add spring color to your cross stitch and create a quick and easy item to display or use on cushions or pillows.
The first free pattern is the Butterfly pattern that says “It takes Faith, Hope and Imagination for a caterpillar to become a Butterfly.” It is stitched on 14-count white Aida cloth and measures 9-1/4 x 7 inches when complete.
The second free design is the Bluebird pattern with the saying on it “Be Kind, Be True.” It is also stitched on 14-count white Aida cloth and measures 6-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches when completed.
Cross stitch one or both of these free spring patterns for a pillow, pincushion, or to frame, and display for your home in your favorite room.
