Former WWE Champions Sheamus and Chris Jericho are now rumored to be returning to WWE roster in January at the Royal Rumble Pay Per View event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. WWE at this time has not officially confirmed the return of either Jericho or Sheamus for the Rumble.
The Royal Rumble comes to Pittsburgh on Sunday January 26th which is the same weekend as the World of Wheels Car Show convention in the same city which has recently scheduled appearances by both Jericho and Sheamus. This is leading to a lot of obvious speculation from WWE fans and insiders that both men could be making the anticipated 'surprise returns' as unannounced entrants in the 30 man over-the-top rope Royal Rumble match on the live pay per view event.
Sheamus has been out of action since August due to a torn labrum in his shoulder. The Celtic Warrior could be a big player in the Rumble if he indeed returns at the January classic. Sheamus as a proven wrestling star whose been out of the mix for months, could get a lot of buzz with a blockbusting return.
Chris Jericho who made a very shocking secret return at last year's Royal Rumble, has been busy this year touring with his successful heavy metal band Fozzy, working on his third book, and launching a podcast called 'Talk is Jericho'.
Jericho and Sheamus now join former World Champion "the Animal" Batista to the list of rumored returns for the 2014 Royal Rumble. News broke earlier this week of Batista being officially advertised for non-televised WWE live events in February.
