For the fourth year in a row, Max's Downtown is hosting a Farm to Table Wine Dinner for United Arts. On Sunday, June 8th, beginning at 6:00pm you can enjoy the art of fine dining as you support an award-winning education program. You will experience an unbelievable five-course meal by their Executive Chef featuring local, seasonal ingredients paired with a special selection of high-end wines.
While you enjoy the meal and wines, learn about the Greater Hartford Arts Council's nationally recognized Neighborhood Studios arts education program. Entertainment includes performances by student apprentices and you will have time bid on exciting, one-of-a-kind arts experiences in the live auction. Tickets are $250 per person, and while most tables are set for ten persons, they can accommodate groups of any size. Valet parking is available.
Their other event is Max's Chef to Farm 1st Annual Lobster Fest, held on Saturday, June 14th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Rosedale Farms & Vinyards. A family-focused event, they offer different options for Adult (clam chowder, clams, lobster, local corn, salad, and other items) and Children's (clam chowder, hotdog or hamburger, salad, fries, and lemonade) meals, and adults can wash down their meal with Max's newest beer, Brewtus Maximus Summer Wheat, hand crafted for Max's by the Thomas Hooker Brewery. You can also get oysters and clams shucked to order for $2.00 each, Rosedale wines (of course!), and other local craft beers. Adult tickets are $55 each, children's tickets are $10 each and are for sale online. The event will feature the music of Will Evans and other family-friendly activities.
