Two Chilling 'Godzilla' Trailers Put Courage to the Test

As the summer season becomes flooded with blockbusters, it's become more difficult for any of these films to truly separate from the pack. Over the next few months we'll see Transformers: Age of Extinction, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-men: Days of Future Past, and while they all look huge, none of them have the level of anticipation Godzilla has earned.

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have crafted an ingenious campaign for the movie monster's big screen return, conjuring up the fear usually reserved for horrors while keeping the scale appropriately epic. And now they've done it yet again with two new trailers, one titled 'Courage" (available here) that focuses a little more on the humans enduring Godzilla's savage attack. The other is an extended, 2 1/2 minute look with tons of impressive footage.

Directed by Gareth Edwards with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, and Juliette Binoche, Godzilla stomps into theaters May 16th.
