On Friday at The Haven Orlando band Plastic Planets has their first show and their self-titled debut CD release show on tap. Music fans can find out more about Plastic Planets in this Examiner.com interview/profile of the band. This is also the tour kick-off show for Orlando band Empire Theory. They’ll be touring through Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

At The Social on Saturday is the CD release show for Orlando band Solillaquists of Sound’s double album “The 4th Wall.” Also appearing are Beef-wellington and E-Turn & SPS along with Blueprint (Rhymesayers) with DJ Groove for this show.

“Support your local music - these bands are just as rocking as the National bands with more of a drive since they are not in the big leagues. Also, you can see them for a hell of a lot less than a big ticket price. Get out there and see your local bands. Making a scene consists of all of you, the audience, and if you don’t, there isn’t a scene. It all starts with you. The bands could just perform for themselves at their homes cheaper but would rather perform for you, so get out there and show them you want them to keep on rocking.” - Nikki Stone lead vocalist for STEEL GYPSY
