Two Candidates Vie for GOP Nomination in June 22nd Runoff

Richard Cook of Byram and Bill Marcy of Meridian are vying for the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress and the chance to unseat liberal Democrat Bennie Thompson in the November General Election.

The run-off will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Richard Cook is a teacher. Bill Marcy is a retired police officer. The two went into a run-off after neither received a majority in the GOP Primary on June 1st.

    Isn't Bennie Thompson under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for his threatening to investigate Credit Card companies? But, they gave him $15,000 and he decided not to investigate!
