Andy and AdreAnne Tesene, owners of the Two Bostons’ two awesome pet supplies stores in Naperville, Illinois, are hosting their Share the Love Food Drive for People and Pets during the entire month of February. This is an annual event.
Last year, the couple and their very popular organization were able to make a huge donation of kibble to two separate rescue groups and a huge donation of “people” food to their local food pantry. They were so excited by the outcome of last year’s success that they are inviting everyone to help to do a repeat – or perhaps together with their adoring community, they will be able to double their success in 2013!
So just what is it that you can prepare to do to help Two Bostons’ Share the Love? Here is the plan – all laid out for you….
1. Bring non-perishable boxed or canned foods for human consumption into either of the Two Bostons’ locations.
2. In addition, they will also be collecting personal grooming items: soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.
3. Lastly, they will be collecting gently used or new winter boots.
Each people item that is collected will be donated to Hesed House. Once your donation is complete, logon to the Two Boston’s Facebook page and click on “like” and then specify which one of the great rescue groups you would like to see win the pet food donation by casting your vote in the Facebook poll. It would be greatly appreciated if you could spread the word; inform your friends and neighbors to donate and place their votes as well.
If you are a part of a rescue organization, it is not too late to join the poll to get your organization logged so that they have an opportunity to be voted on to receive the free food. That is all that it takes, just register and then spread the word so that your organization has an opportunity to win. Don’t worry if you are not the big winner, there is still fun in store for the runner-up in the poll as well.
Look for the Lollipop Trees that will be strategically placed in both store locations. You will have a chance to purchase one of the sweet treats for a donation of $1. The runner-up will be the recipient of the total proceeds.
