Two best friends, one big dream

Sonny and Molly-slide0
Dixie Dog Rescue

Sonny and Molly are best friends. They play together, eat together and share a bed even if there are two. Their connection is incredible. They also share one big dream. The dream to live forever in a home, with a family who loves them. They have been waiting a long time for this dream to become a reality, while living at Dixie Dog Rescue in Vidalia,.

Sonny and Molly came from the same animal control, but at different times. They met at a boarding facility while awaiting transport to their rescue, and quickly became buddies! They were separated for a few weeks while Sonny came to the rescue and Molly stayed behind because she was being adopted. Sadly, Molly's adoption fell through so she joined Sonny at the rescue. They were so excited to see each other again! They have been inseparable ever since. They play with other friends during the day, but also tend to go off by themselves to play. They wrestle, share toys and run back and forth together, loving each others company! They also walk on leash together really well.

Molly is a shepherd/hound mix, a big, beautiful girl who is full of affection for any person she meets. She likes to talk to you, but will quiet down when you talk back so that she doesn't miss a word you say. Molly loves kids and completely ignores cats but she is not a fan of other female dogs. She is fantastic with every male dog she's met, but wants to be the only girl in her pack! She is a big fan of belly rubs, kisses on her adorable pointy nose, and chew toys and bones of any variety. Molly is up to date on all of her vaccinations, spayed and in perfect health!

Sonny is a bit shorter than Molly, but very wide. He loves his kibble, and it shows! Sonny is a boxer mix who is as sweet as a pup can be! He is also fine with cats and thinks every person he meets is his new best friend. He is especially fond of kids. Sonny gets along just fine with other dogs, both male and female, although he does try to dominant new friends in a non-aggressive manner. He just wants to test the waters and see who the boss is going to be! Sonny is up to date on all shots, neutered and ready to go on to his forever life!
