Update 5/16/14 6:30 a.m. (PST): The puppies are safe!!
It is hard to wrap the mind around the fact that beautiful, healthy puppies can be killed - but it happens, far too often.
According to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, two Vizsla mix puppies are going to be killed on Friday morning - unless a local foster home can be found. The rescue agency stated:
We just got word that another rescue took the rest of this green eyes beautiful litter from the kill shelter and left these 2. They will be put down tomorrow. The white one has a broken or hurt leg and just lies there. I know he hurts. They are both so scared and depressed but will crawl up on your lap just to give kisses. It is heart wrenching! We need to get them to the emergency vet asap. What do we need to get them out of there?...We NEED funds desperately. We also need fosters who will foster puppies! We REALLY need puppy fosters to join our team so we can save lives.
The clock is ticking...time is not on the side of these pups. Please take a moment to network this information with the hopes that someone who is willing to open their heart, and their home, can be found before it is too late.
The rescue agency stated:
I want to see those beautiful green eyes smile and those kisses to be "thank you kisses". Please donate to "Visla brothers" at www.angelsrescue.org/donate and PLEASE fill out an application to be a puppy foster at www.angelsrescue.org and IF you are already an approved puppy foster and want to save some lives please email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them you want to foster some puppies!!

Note: Foster home offers must come from the Atlanta, Ga., area.
