Update 7/15/14: The seniors have been adopted together!

On June 24, two 15-year-old German shepherds were surrendered by their owner to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.

According to a volunteer who visits the facility to take photos of the impounded dogs, the pair had been adopted together and lived together for years before being surrendered back to the facility.

The following was written about the elderly pair of dogs:

Ramsee and Angel are two 15 yr old German Shepherds who were adopted together, lived together and now unfortunately, were left together in a high-kill shelter. They have been here since June 24 and need to find a home or rescue now!

The Baldwin Park facility is a high-intake, busy animal control which kills impounded animals when space constraints become an issue. As such, these elderly dogs who have now been behind bars at the facility for several weeks, are in serious danger.

Please take a moment to network on behalf of Ramsee and Angel - these dogs, who are well into their twilight years, deserve to spend the remainder of their days in a home with someone who cares.
